Webinar: Key Supreme Court Environmental Decisions in 2019-2020 and Anticipated Trends
July 30, 2020 @ 12:00 pm – 1:30 pm
This webinar is hosted by the Los Angeles County Bar Association and co-sponsored by the Environmental Law Section of the California Lawyers Association. CLA members can register for the LACBA member discounted price of $25.
The 2019-2020 U.S. Supreme Court term was an active one in the environmental area, with cases involving the Clean Water Act, Superfund sites, pipelines, and more. How will the Supreme Court 2019-2020 term shape environmental jurisprudence and what can we learn from the recent decisions as to how the justices might approach future environmental cases? This webinar will explore recent environmental cases and their implications and will analyze the justices and whether they are adhering to a strict textualist approach to statutory interpretation in these cases. Join Supreme Court experts for a review of developments in environmental cases decided by, or headed for, the Supreme Court and expected trends for the 2020s.
