Webinar: Intro to Privacy – Fundamentals of Privacy

We will be kicking off the Intro to Privacy series with a presentation on the Fundamentals of Privacy. Mark Aldrich, Senior Counsel, Research and Development at AirBnB, will be diving into the principles behind privacy and how we evolved from a sectoral approach to protection of personal data to the omnibus approach we are at today.

Mark Aldrich serves as Senior Privacy and Product Counsel to Fortune 500 and 50 companies. A zealous advocate of privacy by design, and frequent lecturer and speaker on GDPR and California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”) compliance best practices and strategies, Mark counsels pragmatic end-to-end privacy implementation in all aspects of regulatory compliance, product development, and go-to-market strategies.
Mark currently serves as a Vice-Chair for the Privacy Law Section of the California Lawyers Association (f/k/a State Bar of California). From 2019-2020, Mark served as a Co-Chair for the San Francisco Area Knowledge Net for the International Association of Privacy Professionals. From 2017 – 2018, Mark served as the Chair for the Internet and Privacy Law Committee of the Business Law Section of the California Lawyers Association.
