Webinar: How to Handle Holdover Occupants of Trust and Estate Property, Eviction Proceedings, and Other Related Issues

This program will examine various issues and possible solutions for dealing with holdover occupants of trust or estate property including unlawful detainer actions and probate court proceedings. 
 
Topics will include how property owners navigate working with or removing holdover occupants of trust or estate property, cross over issues between landlord tenant rights and trusts and estates, the right to enter a tenant’s unit, repairs, rental agreements, rent collection, enforcement of lease terms, terminating a tenancy, insurance, and comments on practical tips.

Speakers: Daniel Kim and Anna Liu


Daniel Kim specializes in all aspects of Trust and Estate litigation including fiduciary abuse, elder financial abuse, contested trust administrations, probate, and contested conservatorships. Mr. Kim’s litigation experience includes complex civil litigation at a prior global law firm and an externship with a federal district court judge. He has been consistently recognized by numerous groups as a leader in his field including, for example, the Northern California Super Lawyers and Rising Stars Lists, the Sacramento Business Journal Best of the Bar, and the Sacramento Magazine’s Top Lawyers. 

Anna Liu is a partner at Steven Adair MacDonald & Partners, P.C. in San Francisco, CA and focuses her practice on real estate litigation. She represents clients in a variety of real property matters including commercial and residential landlord-tenant actions, co-ownership, and buyer-seller disputes. 

Anna is active in the legal community and serves on the Executive Committee of the Bar Association of San Francisco Barristers Solo and Small Firm Section and on the Executive Committee of the California Lawyers Association Real Property Law Section.

Anna is a frequent speaker for various organizations including the California Lawyers Association, Bar Association of San Francisco, and Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Bay Area. Anna also made an appearance on Legal Talk Network to discuss California’s varied short-term rental regulations, and has published articles for the California Lawyers Association, the San Francisco Daily Journal and California State Bar Real Property Journal.

Anna was awarded the Outstanding Barrister Award from the Bar Association of San Francisco in 2020 and named to the Northern California “Rising Stars” list published by Super Lawyers Magazine in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020, a distinction reserved for only 2.5% of attorneys in Northern California.
