Brian Potts is a partner in environmental law practice group at Perkins Coie and a founder of the Legal Mentor Network. He will share his tips on how to find job openings, how to best market yourself, how to make your resume more persuasive, how to network with practicing attorneys, and much more. He will also discuss his new book, The Jobless Lawyer’s Handbook: How to get hired as a lawyer.

Brian Potts is a business attorney, litigator, entrepreneur and writer. Brian and his team have appeared in more than 50 administrative proceedings and dozens of federal and state court cases. In his free time, Brian likes to help startup companies get off the ground. A successful entrepreneur, Brian invented the first and only computer keyboard designed by lawyers for lawyers (called the LegalBoard®). In his active pro bono practice, Brian serves as outside counsel to the Clean Lakes Alliance, a nonprofit dedicated to the improvement and protection of Southern Wisconsin’s lakes, streams, and wetlands. Brian co-founded the Legal Mentor Network in 2020 and recently published The Jobless Lawyer’s Handbook: How to get hired as a lawyer.
