Ronnie Solomon is an attorney in the Federal Trade Commission’s Bureau of Consumer Protection, Division of Privacy and Identity Protection, and focuses on investigations, litigation, and policy relating to data privacy and data security. Most recently, he led an enforcement action relating to unauthorized data sharing by one of the most popular digital health apps in the nation, resulting in a groundbreaking complaint and settlement, and the first ever enforcement of the FTC’s Health Breach Notification Rule. During his time at the FTC, Ronnie has worked on a range of other cutting-edge consumer protection and competition matters, including cases involving deceptive advertising, anti-competitive business practices, and consumer fraud. Before joining the FTC, Ronnie practiced in the litigation group at Fenwick & West in San Francisco and Silicon Valley. He earned a B.A. from Cornell University, and a J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law.
