- 400,000 lawyers in the United States are 62 and older
- 30 – 40% of actively practicing lawyers are at the age and stage where they are beginning to retire or to contemplate retirement
- 63% of law firm partners, aged 60 or older, control at least ¼ of their firm revenue
- Most law firms do not have succession plans in place.

Camille Stell serves as President of Lawyers Mutual Consulting & Services. She is a frequent speaker and the co-author of Designing a Succession Plan for Your Law Practice: A Step-by-Step Guide for Preparing and Packaging Your Firm for Maximum Value available from Amazon.
She is a graduate of Meredith College and the Meredith College Paralegal Program. Camille is a Fellow in the College of Law Practice Management.
She is currently serving as an Advisory member of the North Carolina State Bar Regulatory Study Committee, as well as a member of the NC Pro Bono Resource Center Advisory Board and serves on the Advisory Group for the Duke Law Tech Lab.
