Webinar: Community Choice Energy: Considerations for Public Agencies

Please share:

This program offers 1 MCLE credit. You must register in advance to participate.

Community choice aggregation, or CCA, is the process by which cities, counties, and joint powers agencies can provide retail electricity to their residents and businesses in lieu of an investor owned utility. CCA is spreading rapidly throughout California as communities are forming individual and regional CCAs that offer rate savings, climate programs and local control to their communities. This webinar will discuss the ins and outs of CCA formation and implementation and provide a status on CCA business, legal and regulatory issues. Of interest to elected officials and agency managers is a discussion of business considerations, risks and liabilities that CCA face particularly in historically volatile energy markets.

Speakers: Ryan Baron and Gary Saleba
