This course will cover the requirements of the Client Trust Account Protection Program (CTAPP) and the amendments to the Rules of Professional Conduct and is structured on the CTAPP requirements attorneys will be required to complete on an annual basis.

Steve Moawad joined State Bar in 2017. During his time at the State Bar, Steve has served as Chief Trial Counsel, Special Assistant to the Chief Trial Counsel, and Special Counsel in the Division of Regulation. Prior to joining the Bar, Steve was a deputy district attorney in Contra Costa County, California, for nearly twenty years, spending the last five as the Senior Deputy District Attorney in charge of the Special Operations Division, including the consumer and environmental protection units, auto and workers’ compensation insurance fraud, real estate fraud, and public corruption. Steve received his law degree from the University of San Francisco and his undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego. Steve also has an MBA from St. Mary’s College of California. Steve currently serves as the Immediate Past President of the National Organization of Bar Counsel, the organization of attorney regulators.
