Pascal Benyamini is a Labor and Employment partner at Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP and Office Leader of the firm’s Los Angeles office. As a trusted adviser, Pascal teams up with employers to defend them against employment law claims and to advise them on compliance, claim prevention, investigations and employment best practices. As a former hockey player, Pascal applies the teamwork and tenacity he learned on the ice to his client relationships and advocacy. 

On the litigation side, Pascal protects employers in state and federal courts from claims of wage and hour violations, wrongful termination, retaliation, discrimination, harassment and unlawful employment practices. On the counseling side, Pascal trains and counsels employers and management teams on best practices including, wage and hour compliance, leaves of absences, discipline, terminations, employee classification, anti-harassment and employee handbooks. 

Phyllis Cheng joined ADR Services, Inc. as a neutral in 2018. She mediates employment, civil rights, and other matters. She also serves on the mediation panels of the Second District and Sixth District Courts of Appeal and the U.S. District Court, Central District of California, where she led its mediation practice group for several years.

Ms. Cheng served in the administrations of four California Governors.  She was the first Chinese-American and immigrant director of the Department of Fair Employment and Housing (DFEH, renamed the Civil Rights Department), where she oversaw the largest settlements and judgments in the first 60 years of the department. She was in private practice on both the plaintiff and defense sides, a partner at DLA Piper, a deputy attorney general in civil rights enforcement, and vice chair of the Fair Employment and Housing Commission. For 20 years, Ms. Cheng has been a regular columnist on cases pending before the California Supreme Court for the California Labor & Employment Law Review, where she was also managing editor, and is responsible for a daily employment case law alert. She is author of the Rutter Group’s California fair housing and public accommodations book, and was a contributing editor on various chapters of its employment litigation practice guide.

Ramit Mizrahi is a mediator who focuses exclusively on employment law matters. She graduated from Yale Law School, has a Master’s degree from the London School of Economics, and a Bachelor’s degree from UC-Berkeley’s Haas School of Business. She is recognized by Super Lawyers in its Top 100 List for Southern California (2023, 2024), Top 50 Women in Southern California list (2022-2024), as a Pasadena Magazine Top Attorney (2015-2024), and by U.S News & World Report in Best Lawyers in America (2019-2024). Ramit brings 20 years of employment law expertise to the table. She prepares meticulously and delves into the issues of a case to help the parties work toward resolution. She understands that EQ (emotional intelligence) is as important as IQ and is a compassionate, empathetic mediator who connects with parties and their counsel. Ramit is Chair of the Pasadena Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Section, Past Chair of the California Lawyers Association Labor and Employment Law Section, and past Editor-in-Chief of the California Labor and Employment Law Review. She regularly speaks on panels relating to employment law. Her work has been published in the Yale Law Journal, the California Labor & Employment Law Review, and Advocate magazine.
