Pascal Benyamini is a Labor and Employment partner at Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP and Office Leader of the firm’s Los Angeles office. As a trusted adviser, Pascal teams up with employers to defend them against employment law claims and to advise them on compliance, claim prevention, investigations and employment best practices. As a former hockey player, Pascal applies the teamwork and tenacity he learned on the ice to his client relationships and advocacy. On the litigation side, Pascal protects employers in state and federal courts from claims of wage and hour violations, wrongful termination, retaliation, discrimination, harassment and unlawful employment practices. On the counseling side, Pascal trains and counsels employers and management teams on best practices including, wage and hour compliance, leaves of absences, discipline, terminations, employee classification, anti-harassment and employee handbooks.
Phyllis Cheng is a neutral at ADR Services, where she mediates employment, civil rights, and other matters. She also serves on the mediation panels of the Second District Court of Appeal and the U.S. District Court, Central District of California, where she leads its mediation practice group.
Phyllis served in the administrations of four California Governors. She was director of the Department of Fair Employment and Housing, vice chair of the Fair Employment and Housing Commission, and member of the Commission on the Status of Women and Comparable Worth Task Force.
Phyllis was a partner at DLA Piper, of counsel at Littler Mendelson, and associate at Hadsell & Stormer. She was a research attorney at the Second District Court of Appeal and a deputy attorney general at CalDOJ’s Civil Rights Enforcement Section.
Phyllis is Managing Editor of the CALIFORNIA LABOR & EMPLOYMENT LAW REVIEW, and has written a column on Cases Pending before the California Supreme Court for 18 years. She co-edits CALIFORNIA FAIR HOUSING AND PUBLIC ACCOMMODATIONS (The Rutter Group), prepares the CALIFORNIA LABOR & EMPLOYMENT CASE LAW ALERT, and contributes to other publications. The State Bar named her the 2014 Ronald M. George Public Lawyer of the Year.
Ramit Mizrahi is a full-time mediator who focuses exclusively on employment law. She is an active member of the employment law community, including serving as Chair of the Pasadena Bar Association Labor & Employment Law Section, Past Chair of the California Lawyers Association Labor & Employment Law Section, and past Editor-in-Chief of the California Labor & Employment Law Review. She is recognized as one of the Top 100 Super Lawyers (2023-24) and Top 50 Women Super Lawyers (2022-24).
