FEMA Advocacy and Disaster Legal Assistance

Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County is hosting a virtual training for volunteers seeking opportunities to support community members impacted by the 2025 Wildfires.
The training will cover:
- Common legal issues after a disaster including, housing, education, public benefits, consumer, family law and health issues.
- FEMA programs and GEMA appeals
- How to help survivors and volunteer at a Disaster REcover Center
Who Shoudl attend?
Legal advocates and volunteers interested in helping 2025 Los Angeles Wildfire survivors with:
- Advice or representation on a range of legal issues
- Volunteering at Diaster Recovery Centers
- Particpating at FEMA appeal clinics
MCLE will be provided.
