Join CLPC as we continue to support and expand our law academy partnerships for the ongoing success of our law academies and students. The symposium will focus on teacher professional development, as well as program development for our advisory boards, administrators, and volunteers. (0.5 CLE Credits)

Participants will be able to:

• Learn how to address challenging topics in the classroom
• Review the status of Law Academy requirements and policies
• Share information from schools and advisory boards adapting to the changes
• Participate in data collection and storytelling about our successes
• Share best practices for fundraising and grant-seeking
• Learn about new classroom programming for students
• Hear how CLPC/CLF /CLA will be mobilizing members to volunteer for local law academy programs
• Receive feedback from law academy graduates about their academy experiences and suggestions for additional support as they transition along the law pathway
• Network with representatives from law academies throughout the state to focus on common challenges and solutions

Note: CPAs should charge teacher travel and registration to CPA funds. Charges for volunteers can be reported with the volunteer actual and in-kind program contribution.

• Angela Winfield, Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer, Law School Admissions Council reporting on the status of pathway programs into the legal profession
• Jerrilyn Malana, Vice Chair, California Lawyers Foundation focusing on civics education and engagement

Fee Info

• Registration Fee: $75 (includes meals and reception)
• Early Bird Rate: $60 if registered by April 21, 2025
