The CLA Labor and Employment Executive Committee is excited to announce this year’s virtual Annual Meeting. Our planning committee has been hard at work to ensure that this year’s meeting continues to serve a critical role in educating the state’s labor and employment bar on the key issues affecting our practice. This year we are featuring topics on artificial intelligence and the workforce, as well as emerging wage and hour trends arising from tele-working. We are also thrilled to present a judges’ panel with Justice Joshua P. Groban of the California Supreme Court and Judge Kenneth K. Lee of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, moderated by retired Judge Margaret M. Morrow of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California. We’ll hear from this esteemed group about how the courts have adapted over the last year.  We’ll also welcome Chairman Lauren McFerran of the National Labor Relations Board to speak about how the transition to the new administration has affected her work. As always, the Employment Year In Review will keep you up to date on the key employment law cases of the last year. Of course, these are just some highlights of what the Annual Meeting will cover.
