2020 Environmental Law Conference at Yosemite Goes Virtual!

This year’s Environmental Law Conference at Yosemite will be virtual! The annual conference has become a cultural event, a place to meet and continue relationships with people from all walks of our practice – consultants, regulators, students, attorneys from all sectors, and people who are simply interested in environmental law – so we are disappointed that we will not be able to meet in person. The reality, however, is that there are too many uncertainties about public health, our economy, and even our ability to freely enjoy Yosemite National Park. Even an in-person conference would be unlikely to deliver the true “Yosemite” Conference experience under current conditions.

But more than disappointed, the Environmental Law Section is energized and excited by the opportunity to plan a conference that is more geographically and financially accessible to all. Since March, we’ve been looking at ways to maintain the Yosemite vibe in a virtual world. We are planning a conference that includes a mix of educational panels, fun activities, opportunities for networking and socializing and, if permitted, some smaller in-person activities.

We are finalizing our activities, panels, speakers, and schedule. Look for our e-brochure in a few weeks.  For now, please continue to save October 15-18, 2020 for this year’s conference.
