LA Court Promotes Pro Bono for Domestic Violence Survivors
The U.S. District Court for the Central District of California is hosting a July 11 event to promote free legal services to empower survivors of domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault and stalking.
Members of the bar and public are invited to attend “The POWER Act: Promoting Pro Bono Legal Services to Empower Survivors of Domestic Violence,” on July 11, 2019, from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Jury Assembly Room of the First Street Courthouse in Los Angeles.
Chief Judge Phillips will moderate a panel discussion with participants from the Los Angeles Superior Court, the Los Angeles County Bar Association Counsel for Justice, the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, the Neighborhood Legal Services of Los Angeles County, and the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles.
