CLF Classic: Fairways to Justice

Please mark your calendars for Thursday, April 17, 2025, at Pelican Hill Golf Club in Newport Beach, California, for the California Lawyers Foundation (“CLF”) Fairways to Justice Classic 2025 benefitting the CLF and its California Legal Pathways Collaborative (“CLPC”)!  The tournament will bring together students, practitioners, judges, and sponsors to help build a bright future for the next generation of attorneys.  The proceeds will benefit CLF and will provide mentorship opportunities for students.

“Pelican Hill® Golf Club is a world-class experience that you have to play to believe. Perched above Southern California’s most magnificent beaches, The Resort at Pelican Hill® enjoys nearly 300 days of sun each year, making it an unbeatable destination for year-round adventures. Beyond the course, an iconic pool, world-class spa and ocean-view dining offer endless recreation for golf and travel enthusiasts alike.”  Attendees will be able to play for the best score, but also other prizes and gifts.  It will be the first golf tournament of its kind for CLF and the California Lawyers Association.

The CLPC helps to set up law academies around the State of California in high schools benefiting students who want to pursue a career in the law.  Throughout the school year, our leaders educate, inspire, and preview what a career in law will look like for future attorneys.  The process is educational and encouraging to many.  In February 2024, for example, our State Capitol visit to Sacramento gathered two-hundred students get a real-world education in civics engagement and political process.

On Saturday, September 21, 2024, at UC Law San Francisco, CLF’s CLPC will celebrate its students and volunteers at the California Law Academy Symposium Awards and Scholarship Reception.  You can register to attend here.  The California Legal Pathways Collaborative (CLPC) invites Law Academy Teachers, Advisory Boards, Administrators and Volunteers to join CLPC for our symposium supporting and enhancing our law academy partnership for the ongoing success of our law academies and students.

Formed in 2019, the California Lawyers Foundation is the charitable arm and partner of the California Lawyers Association, California’s voluntary statewide bar association. CLF conducts charitable programs, projects, and activities (including continuing legal education (CLE) and other educational programs to support and educate lawyers and others in the legal profession) that further the Foundation’s mission.

The CLF is a statewide foundation actively developing and supporting projects that improve access to justice for people in need and make the legal system fairer and more efficient for everyone and help educate Californians about the third branch of government (the judicial branch), the role of lawyers and the rule of law.  The Foundation is a tax-exempt organization under Internal Revenue Code (“IRC”) Section 501(c)(3).  You can learn more about CLF events here.
