The BLS Health Law Committee is Leading a Collaborative Program to Provide Advance Directives to Those in Need
The BLS’ Health Law Committee, Bet Tzedek Legal Aid Foundation, the California Minority Counsel Program Ambassadors Council, the Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association and the CLA are collaborating with the LA County Law Library to provide a unique volunteer opportunity for attorneys to give back to their community on October 26, 2019.
As participants in the LA County Law Library’s Pro Bono Week, volunteers will assist seniors, low income individuals and other members of the public by preparing their Advanced Directive healthcare forms, and providing the public with basic information about these important end of life healthcare planning forms. Volunteers need not be health law attorneys to participate, and will receive a 1-hour MCLE training on how to prepare the forms. More information on this volunteer opportunity to follow soon.
