Bar Discipline

Please join the Nonprofit Organizations Committee for a program on the topic: How to Maintain Your Client Trust Account to Efficiently Run Your Practice AND Avoid Bar Discipline. Topics that will be covered include: Rules of Professional Conduct pertaining to client trust accounts, IOLTA and Non-IOLTA trust accounts, Client trust account maintenance and reconciliation procedures. It will also include examples and best practices.

The program will be presented by Hratch J. Karakachian and Kneave Riggall. Hratch J. Karakachian, a dual licensed solo practitioner as a CPA and Attorney from Glendale, CA, focuses his practice on income, estate & gift tax planning and compliance matters. He is a senior adjunct faculty member at California Lutheran University and chairs the San Fernando Valley Bar Association’s Taxation Law Section. 

Kneave Riggall is an attorney and Certified Tax Law Specialist in South Pasadena, CA. He chairs the Pasadena Bar Association’s Tax Section and represents clients in tax controversy, litigation, planning and whistleblower matters. 

*This program has been approved for 1 hour of MCLE ethics credit by the California Community Foundation. The California Lawyers Association is not the provider of this MCLE credit
