Nonprofit Organizations Committee: Conference Call on March 19, 2020

The Nonprofit Organizations Committee is excited to announce its presentation of:

Gambling and Nonprofit Fundraising in California
March 19, 2020, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Please join the Nonprofit Organizations Committee for a program on the topic of “Gambling and nonprofit fundraising in California.”  Our presenter is Jarhett Blonien.  Nonprofits often use bingo, raffles, poker nights, and other gaming in fundraising, and employ sweepstakes and contests to generate interest in their programs.  This program will provide an overview of the gambling laws in California as they apply to nonprofit organizations.

Jarhett Blonien is a government relations attorney with J. Blonien A Professional Law Corporation, which is government law and lobbying firm. Blonien & Associates has represented local governments, corporations, trade associations, and other entities before the California Legislature and Governors’ Office.  The firm also is a full-service firm for gaming enterprises in the Golden State, assisting in permit applications and handling appeals of adverse decisions from the California Gambling Control Commission.  Prior to joining J. Blonien A Professional Law Corporation, Mr. Blonien worked in the California Department of Justice as a Deputy Attorney General.

This presentation will be accessible via conference call, which is free and open to the public.  The conference call can be accessed at the following dial-in number starting at 10:00 a.m.:
