The Nonprofit Organizations Committee is excited to announce its presentation of:

The Forever Tax: IRS Trust Fund Penalties
August 15, 2019, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Please join the Nonprofit Organizations Committee for a program on the topic of “The Forever Tax: IRS Trust Fund Penalties.”  Our presenter is Kneave Riggall, Attorney/Certified Tax Law Specialist.  This presentation will discuss the dire consequences of being a “responsible person” when employment taxes are not paid over to the IRS.  Please note that a responsible person can be anyone with knowledge of that nonpayment who is authorized to make such payment, i.e., is on a “signature card” for any bank account of any nonpaying employer, including all non-profit entities.

Kneave Riggall is an attorney and certified tax law specialist in South Pasadena. His practice focuses on tax controversies, tax planning, tax whistleblowers and tax litigation. He also provides expert testimony on tax issues.  During his years as a tax lawyer, Kneave has represented taxpayers before: The IRS in audits, appeals, criminal investigations, collection matters, domestic and offshore voluntary disclosures, innocent spouse requests, offers in compromise, and whistleblower cases; the Franchise Tax Board and more than 20 other state tax agencies; the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals; the U.S. Tax Court; the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Central District of California; the Superior Courts of Los Angeles and Orange Counties; and Riverside County’s Assessment Board No. 1.
