Starting Salary: $145,000
The Director of Marketing and Membership (DOMM) will be responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of our marketing and advertising initiatives, as well as our membership growth and retention plans. The DOMM’s primary responsibility is to develop a comprehensive membership campaign and increase public awareness of CLA, maintain the current membership and grow the existing membership base. The DOMM generates revenue by increasing sales (through Continuing Legal Education programming) through successful marketing for the entire organization, using market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising and public relations.
The DOMM role may be expanded to include sales management, new business development, product development, distribution channel management and member service. The DOMM will ensure that CLA’s message is distributed across channels and to targeted audiences to meet sales and membership objectives. This requires seeking out, and implementing, new ways to deliver messaging, such as mobile platforms, video and social media. More specific responsibilities appear below.

The Director of Marketing and Membership candidate is both analytical and creative and possess extensive knowledge in a variety of disciplines such as production, information technology, legal and finance. You will be asked to help plan, direct and coordinate marketing budgets in accordance to organizational goals.
